Install the OP5025XG simulator on a table or in a mounting rack with sufficient space on both sides to allow proper airflow cooling (about 15 cm or 6 in.).

Tabletop use

• You can install the four (4) rubber feet included with the bundle.

Rack Mount

The rack mounting brackets with handles are normally assembled to the simulator and ready to mount in a 19'' rack.

Connect the Power Cable

• Connect the power cord to the unit and to an appropriate power source (outlet).

Connect the Simulator to the Host PC

The OP5025XG simulator communicates with the Windows host computer via TCP/IP.

The simulator can be connected in two different ways:

• Via your local area network (local area network configuration) or a network switch not connected to a network.

• Directly to your host computer (direct connection).

Please follow the instructions in this page to connect your host PC.

Connect the network cable provided (P/N T00-0817, 10 feet [3.05 m] cable) to the LAN1 port (enp39s0) of the OP5025XG.

IPMI (optional)

The OPAL-RT simulators can be controlled remotely through the IPMI interface (optional). This article of the OPAL-RT knowledge base explains how to do so.
Your IPMI credentials are in the HIL2GO bundle data card named “Meet your HL2GO bundle” delivered with your system.

Turn on the Main Switch of the OP5025XG

• Turn on the main power switch in the back of the OP5025XG.

  • WARNING: Make sure that the main power switch at the rear of the unit is easily accessible for emergency shutdown.
