OP8660 Controller and Data Acquisition Interface
Features
The OP8660 Data Acquisition Interface is designed to extend the capabilities of the OP5600/OP4510/OP7000 real-time digital simulators by providing multiple conditioned IO channels specifically tailored for power electronics and power systems applications. The OP8660 simplifies the connectivity between a virtual environment (i.e., real-time simulator) and real experimental hardware, by providing a secure, robust, and easy-to-use interface ideal for training and educational environments. The OPAL-RT simulators connect to the OP8660 conditioning module through clearly identified DB37 connectors located on their back panels (further details are covered in section 3 System connections).
The OP8660 features high voltage and current probes specifically customized for the power ratings of FESTO’s Renewable energy kit. The OP8660 can also output the firing pulses to control two IGBT inverter modules and can read two ABZ position encoders. Finally, a wide array of digital and (low power) analog IO’s are available for the user.
