Description

The OP8123 module converts four standard ±16Vpk input voltages into current sources, up to 1A and under 16Vpk (voltage compliance).

The OP8123 contains both current and thermal protections. An indicator is present to indicate whether the output is in fault. It can be used in standalone with minimal connection, or in an OP8120 chassis for a total of 32 current sources per chassis.

When used in an OP8120 chassis, each channel is configured to match the OPAL-RT’s DB37 standard pinout. The OP8123 module draws its power from the OP8120 chassis.

The OP8123 has 4 screw terminal connectors and four push-buttons to activate or deactivate the channel.

Status LED Table

Each channel has two LEDs, one red and one green. The following table explains what the channel status is, according to the LED conditions.

Power LED Description

Each module has two power LEDs:

When the left LED is on, it indicates that the 12Vdc fan is operating.
When the right LED is on, it indicates that the ±5 Vdc power is functioning properly.

Activate/Deactivate Pushbutton

Each channel has an activation pushbutton. Press to turn outputs on or off, even if an input is present.
