Electrical Node
This component sets the name of the electrical node to which the block is connected. The nodes sharing the same name are electrically connected.
In electrical engineering, a node is any point on a circuit where the terminals of two or more circuit elements meet. In-circuit diagrams, connections are ideal wires with zero resistance, so a node may consist of the entire section of wire between elements, not just a single point.
This block is particularly useful when you want to measure the voltage between two remote electrical nodes in the diagram without wanting to explicitly and graphically connect the voltage block. It is, therefore, possible to use a measurement Voltmeter Node block with an Electrical Node to simplify the connections and the diagram.
See To measure the voltage between two nodes of the circuit section in the Measuring Currents & Voltages page.
Parameters
Node name n | Name of the electrical node to which the block is connected. |

Electrical Ports
- The block has one electrical port for connecting circuit components that shares the same electrical node.
