The OP1400 series of PHIL and Microgrid Test Benches are pre-assembled and optimized units for academia and industry from OPAL-RT.

Common and Distinguishing Features
Models are outlined in detail toward the bottom of this page and are either OP1400 (PHIL power amplifier) or OP1420 (microgrid PHIL test bench).
Each model contains one or more OP1400 amplifiers, an OP1490 box to provide safety, as well as one or more DC power supplies.
Additionally–depending on the model/platform--each rack will contain one or more of the following components:
A power distribution unit (PDU) with a lockable disconnect switch and an embedded overcurrent protection device to safely interface with a 3 phase AC 400V/480V mains input
AC Power outlets to internally supply the various equipment included in the test bench
A central copper bus bar to safely ground all the included equipment
A dedicated high performance Ethernet switch

An OP1400 series (PHIL power amplifier) also has:
One or two (depending on model) OP1480 boxes (Power Amplifier Panel) to safely interface with the amplifiers
One OP1450 box (External Busbar) for OP1400-60 only (optional)
An OP1420 series (microgrid PHIL test bench) also has:
One OP1460 box (Microgrid Interface with Busbar) to safely interface with the micro-grid node
One OP1470 box (Microgrid Power Meters) to provide real-time visual power measurements
An OP4510 box Real-Time Simulator with the following software components:
Fx Power System Toolbox licence
Microgrid RT-LAB Models (Microgrid and DERs)
An OP8211-16 BNC interface panel to provide a simple interface between the simulator’s DB37 connectors and external devices (note : BNC cables not included)
Description
The OP1400 Series test benches are built around high quality 40U racks which allow for easy maintenance, repair and upgrade over time. They incorporate Opal-RT's rack mountable products to provide a complete PHIL solution.
Composition
The OP1400 Series test benches are composed of a mixture of OPAL-RT rack-mountable units. The composition varies depending on the model, as detailed below.
The OP1400 Series test benches do not come with a simulator. However, rack space was reserved for adding a simulation platform (OP4510 or OP5700) that can be purchased separately.
