Deployment Target

The VeriStand engine must be installed onto the Real Time target before a project can be deployed to it. The VeriStand version installed on the deployment target must match the development version.

The CMDE Add-On is supported on NI PXI targets running the NI Linux RT operating system. For more information about NI Real-Time target OS support, refer to NI Hardware and Software Operating System Compatibility.

Software Installation on NI Linux-RT Targets

Use the NI Measurement and Automation Explorer to set up the target and install the required software packages described below.  Detailed instructions for the installation process can be found on the NI website:

Base System Image

When selecting a Base System Image during the installation, use the latest version available.  Confirm that it meets the minimum version requirement:

Programming Environment

Select the Programming Environment corresponding to your version of VeriStand:

Software Packages

Select the required software from the list of available packages and enable Include recommended packages to ensure that all necessary dependencies are installed onto the target.
