Lab 2 - Performance Indices
The objective of any performance index is to evaluate quantitatively and qualitatively the operation of an equipment and allow comparisons to be made between various configurations. In this example the equipment is based upon an electric supply and thyristor controller reactor and, therefore, the performance indices are derived from measured electric variables as voltages and currents. The most used indices are presented in Table I.
Performance Index | Expression |
---|---|
commutation angle | |
rms TCR current (A) | |
rms inductor current harmonics |
|
reactive power (Var) |
|
inductance (mH) |
|
effective reactance (Ω) |
|
effective inductance (mH) |
