TGOV2
Description
The block diagram for the governor/turbine system model presents a governor action, reheater time constant, and the ration of high-pressure turbine, with fast valving action.
Mask and Parameters
AVR parameters
Expanding the "Block diagram for TGOV2" displays the block diagram in the parameters window.
Name | Description | Unit |
R | Permanent droop | pu/pu |
Dt | Turbine damping coefficient | pu |
T1 | Steam bowl time constant 1 | s |
T3 | Time constant 3 | s |
K | Governor gain | pu |
TT | Valve time constant | s |
Vmax | Maximum valve position | pu |
Vmin | Minimum valve position | pu |
Fast valving parameters | [TI TA TB TC] * | s |
* The T1 parameter should remain at zero, to have a reference in the x-axes.
The speed reference can be set manually, by entering a numerical value in the W0 field of the parameters window. It can also be set automatically based on load flow calculations, by entering a referenced synchronous machine variable. Machine variables can be found in the machine netlist. For instance, if the name of the synchronous machine on which the governor/turbine is connected is “SM1”, then the speed reference should be inserted as “=SM1.wo” if a thermal machine or a hydraulic machine is used, and as "=SM1.Wm_Init" if a pu standard or pu fundamental machine is used.
The HYPERSIM simulation option “Set Initial Conditions” must be checked for the automatic initialization to work properly.
