OP5511 Front and Back Interfaces
LEGACY PRODUCT
Please note that the OP5511 is discontinued.
Front Interface
The front face of the module provides input connectors for the external high-voltage and high-current signals.
A | Current Sensors connector | Connects external device's high current input |
B | Voltage Sensors connector | Connects external device's high voltage input |
C | Auxiliary Outputs connector | Provides internal connection to reduce the wiring length when both current and voltage of a motor must be simultaneously sensed. It also allows users to connect the motor reference voltage to the simulator ground, if required. |
Refer to OP5511 Connector Pin Assignments for connectors' pins assignment tables.
Back Interface
The back face of the module provides activity LEDs, power input connection and the low-voltage output connector to be connected to the real-time simulator.
The module requires a regulated ±15 volt power supply to be used. In order to reduce noise, a linear power supply is preferred.
A | Voltage Sensors LED | The activity LED (green) turns ON at 2V, while the out-of-range LED (red) turns ON when the upper voltage limit of the selected range has been reached. Depending on the factory jumper setting, the LED will light at 50V, 100V, 200V or 400V. |
B | DB25 connector | The DB25 connector (B) outputs the ±10V voltage signals. These signals can then be connected to the analog-to-digital converters of the real-time simulator, such as the OP5340. |
C | Current Sensors LED | The activity LED (green) turns ON whenever a current above 200mA is detected, while the out-of-range LED (red) lights ON when the upper current limit of the selected sensor has been reached. Depending on the factory jumper setting, the LED will light at 5A, 10A, 15A, 25A or 50A. |
D | Power connector | ± 15 VDC |
E | Power LEDs | LEDs light ON to indicate when power is functional. |
Refer to OP5511 Connector Pin Assignments for connectors' pins assignment tables.
