OpNI60xE IO Trigger

Description

The National InstrumentsESeries (or NI-60xE) cards feature two counter gate digital inputs that can be used as interrupt lines. This block, along with its associated Op Subsystem Trigger block, uses one of these gate inputs to trigger a Simulink subsystem. This block supports a list of NI60xEPXI and PCI compatible cards.

The subsystems connected to Op Subsystem Trigger will be called in a round robin fashion. For instance, the first interruption will trigger the first subsystem, the next one will trigger the second and so on. Once the last subsystem has been triggered, it all comes back to the first. At least one subsystem must be connected to Op Subsystem Trigger.



NOTE: A maximum of 8 Op NI60xE IO Trigger blocks can be found in a given master or slave subsystem.



Parameters

Bus TypeSelect the bus type (PCI or PXI) of the target node in this list.
Card TypeSelect the card model on this list.
PCI indexEnter the PCI index (see definition)of the card on the PCI (or PXI) bus.
Trigger Group NumberID Shared between this block and its associated Op SubsystemTrigger block.
Counter NumberSelect the counter whose gate input is to be used (0 or 1).
Trigger onrising, falling or both edges of the gate input.
Active during pauseSelect this option to allow triggers to occur during pause.

Characteristics and Limitations

Connector Pin Assignments

The triggering signal must be connected either to GPCTR0_GATE or GPCTR1_GATE depending on the selected counter. Refer to the connector pin assignments tables below to find out which pin assignment corresponds to your card model.
