This type of circuit rectifies the negative half and keeps the positive half of the input current.
The frequency of the output of the rectifier is then twice the input frequency.
The shape of the output voltage depends on the load.
It is not always the absolute value of the input voltage, especially when the bridge rectifier supplies a capacitive load or a load with an electromotive force.
However, the output current is always the absolute value of the input current.
This circuit is commonly used for power supplies for domestic appliances.
