BESS Management

This block contains the logic for summing all components of the BESS real power reference. These references are the main reference sent from the real power controller, the PCC real power error, the load reduction compensation, as well as a frequency compensation component calculated in this section which allows the BESS to aid the Diesel Generator in maintaining the Microgrid bus frequency during an islanded condition. This block also contains the logic for summing the reactive power reference components, which are simply the reference sent from the reactive power controller and the PCC reactive power error. This block is part of the microgrid library from the OP1420, and should be used along with the other blocks.

Bypass time

Wait time to bypass the filter. The default value is 5.

Start of the dead zone

Specify dead zone lower limit. Set the value for Start of dead zone less than or equal to End of dead zone. The default value is -2e-3.

End of the dead zone

Specify dead zone upper limit. Set the value for End of dead zone greater than or equal to Start of dead zone. The default value is 2e-3.
