How to integrate eHS Block in your Simulink model

SCHEMATIC EDITOR WORKFLOW

Introduction

This document provides information on how to integrate the eHS block found in the FPGA-based Power Electronics Toolbox library to your Simulink model.

System Requirements

Adding the Block to Your Model

Add the block to your Simulink model by dragging and dropping the eHS block found in the FPGA-based Power Electronics Toolbox library.

Note that 2 drivers exists, S-function driver being the recommended one.

Alternatively you can use the quick search to add the block

Integrating an FPGA-Based Circuit

The eHS block will automaytically propose you to

  • start from a new FPGA circuit

    • The Schematic Editor will open with a fresh new model.

  • choose an existing one

    • After having chosen a valid model.ehs3, the block will automatically refresh itself to reflect your model input and output pins.

    • To edit it, double click on the eHS block, the Schematic Editor will open the circuit.

Load circuit

Once the circuit is updated in the schematic editor, return to your Simulink model to update your model:

  • Either build your circuit with CTRL+D

  • Or use the dedicated eHS menu from the right Click section

For more details, see the complete block documentation.

In case of error

If an error occurs, click on the link to have more information.

See User Notifications from FPGA Power Electronic Toolbox for a complete description of each error.
