Switch Module features overview
Introduction
The Switch Module card is used to simulate relays or contact sensors via switches which are individually controlled from the user interface.
The switches are grouped in three different types: discrete (30), flexible (5), rotary (1); each type having specific voltage level configuration settings as described in the Switches description section.
The board is protected for over-current conditions.
Up to 10 SM cards can be inserted in one OP6200 chassis, although the reference model typically uses a maximum of 3 cards.
The board also supports the following features, which are common to all OP6200 I/O boards :
- Over-temperature detection
- Battery voltage compatibility
- Module information
- Activity and status LEDs
- Firmware Update
- Synchronization
- Cable Identification
