System Units | General

Depending on the component type, HYPERSIM offers various choices of system units to input parameters:

SI	Input parameters in International System of Units format (volt, ampere, watt, ohm, henry, farad)
PU	Input parameters in per-unit format; the choice of a reference base voltage, power and frequency is mandatory
PQ	Input parameters in active and reactive power format; the choice of a reference base voltage is mandatory
A	Used only for neutral impedance of transformers, input parameters in current ratio

Users can choose the default system that best suits them in the global Preferences, or can select it manually in each component's mask through a right-click menu on the relevant parameters' unit. In this latter case, the change will not persist after closing the window.
