EMTP | List of Partially Compatible Components

This section presents the list of components from the EMTP libraries that are partially supported when the EMTP models are loaded in HYPERSIM. These blocks are compatible with an HYPERSYM simulation. However, some of their options are not supported in HYPERSIM. The first column indicates the name of the block in EMTP while the second column indicates the equivalent name of the component in HYPERSIM. The third column lists the options that are not supported in HYPERSIM.

Steady-state initialization and total saturation are not supported.

Saturation data in D-axis is limited to 10 points.

Saturation data in Q-axis is not considered in HYPERSIM.

Deep bar factor not supported.

Lock rotor shaft for negative speed is not supported.

Absolute speed damping is not supported.

HYPERSIM supports only WYE grounded connection for the armature winding.

Rotor speed control is not supported.

The Multi-masses model is not supported.

Mechanical torque in pu control is not supported.

Synchronous

Synchronous machine

HYPERSIM uses EL 1.0 and EU 1.2 for saturation in D-axis.

Sgu is smaller than Sgl. Values swapped.

Saturation data in Q-axis is not considered in HYPERSIM.

HYPERSIM does not support Canay impedance in extra data.

HYPERSIM only represents 1 damper in the D axis.

HYPERSIM only supports 2 dampers in the Q axis.

HYPERSIM support only WYE grounded connection for the armature winding.

HYPERSIM supports only open circuit data (D Axis).

HYPERSIM supports only open circuit data (Q Axis).

The Multi-masses model is not supported.
