SFP Channels CH00 to CH03 (MuSE)
OPAL-RT’s Multi-System Expansion link (MuSE) is a fully integrated feature of OPAL-RT software and FPGA solutions that facilitate the management of numerous I/Os using SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable) transceivers.
SFP ports CH00 to CH03 are reserved for MuSE.
They can also be used for generic Aurora communication protocol if MuSE is not used.
For the moment, MuSE SFP channels are not available and reserved for future usage.
SFP Channels CH04 to CH11 (Aurora)
SFP ports CH04 to CH11 are free to use with generic Aurora protocol, although channel 4 and channel 5 are assigned to specific types of connection if used.
