IEC 60870-5-104 Slave | Connections

Once configured, the IEC 60870-5-104 slave I/O interface offers different data points to be connected with the model. In the HYPERSIM sensor view, the name of each point contains the name of the slave and the name of the point chosen by the user. The following data points can be connected to the model:

Connection PointDirectionDescription
Single point inputsdriver > modelSingle points that can be controlled by the master.
Single point inputsmodel  > driverSingle points that are reported to the master.
Double point inputsdriver  > modelDouble points that can be controlled by the master.
Double point inputsmodel  > driverDouble points that are reported to the master.
Regulating step inputsdriver  > modelRegulating step points that can be controlled by the master.
Regulating step inputsmodel  > driverRegulating step points that are reported to the master.
Bitstring inputsdriver  > modelBitstring points that can be controlled by the master.
Bitstring inputsmodel  > driverBitstring points that are reported to the master.
Normalized point inputsdriver  > modelNormalized points that can be controlled by the master.
Normalized point inputs model  > driverNormalized points that are reported to the master.
Scaled point inputsdriver  > modelScaled points that can be controlled by the master.
Scaled point inputsmodel  > driverScaled points that are reported to the master.
Floating point inputsdriver  > modelFloating points that can be controlled by the master.
Floating point inputsmodel  > driverFloating points that are reported to the master either in RMS or non-RMS mode depending on the configuration.

Here is an example showing sensors configured to receive different types of data from an IEC 60870-4-104 master. The data name contains the name of each point that has been configured by the user.
