IEC 60870-5-104 Slave
The IEC 60870-5-104 slave I/O interface allows exchanging data over TCP with any industrial devices and SCADA systems. Using a standard network interface card, this protocol can be easily and rapidly integrated into any simulation model.
With the proper user configuration, a driver is initialized on the target simulator at the start of the simulation and waits for a (or many) master(s) to connect to each slave to begin data transmission. The driver makes use of asynchronous threads in order to service each slave. The CPU core on which the asynchronous threads will be executed can be either the core 0 or a dedicated core.
Communications protocols can be configured in the I/O Interface Configuration tool that can be opened from HYPERSIM Ribbon Options.
For more information on the general use of the I/O Interface Configuration, see also I/O Interfaces.
