Resolver Encoder Mapping - efs_ResolverEncoderMapping
Block
Description
This block configures mapping of available machines to the different resolver and encoder.
It communicate with the FPGA using the Config tab, where the controller name and LoadIn port are given.
Preset values are available for standard firmware, but it can also be customized by advanced users who make their own firmware.
Mask Parameters
Mapping tab description
Resolver/Encoder # connected to: Select a machine to which the Resolver/Encoder will be connected.
If the Custom firmware is selected, the drop-down will present a list of generic machines, indexed from 1 to the selected number of available machines (See: Configuration)
If the specific firmware is selected, the drop-down will present the list of machines available for this firmware.
Firmware: Select a defined list of compatible firmwares with fixed count of Resolver/Encoder units. Selecting "Custom" will allow user to choose how many Resolver/Encoder units are enabled.
Configuration tab description
OpControl block name: Links this block to an OpCtrl block by entering the same 'Controller Name' as specified in the OpCtrl block. The OpCtrl block controls initialization of the settings of one specific FPGA-based card in the system.
LoadIn port number: Enter the number of the LoadIn port used to communicate with the firmware, in the range [1:32]. Port number is available inside the bitstream configuration file (.conf file).
Firmware: Select a defined list of compatible firmwares with fixed count of Resolver/Encoder units. Selecting "Custom" will allow user to choose how many Resolver/Encoder units and machines are enabled.
Number of Resolver/Encoder: Defines the number of Resolver/Encoder modules to use. The maximum number of Resolver/Encoder is 8. This field is disabled when a predefined firmware is selected in the "Firmware" drop-down menu.
Number of Machine: Select the number of machines that can be connected. The maximum number of machines is 16. Each Resolver/Encoder can be connected to one machine. This field is disabled when a predefined firmware is selected in the "Firmware" drop-down menu.
Outputs
Status:The block will output each Resolver/Encoder input to it's connected Machine
