Description

This block is used to synchronize serial data to perform a rate transition. The block includes a Dual-Port-RAM-based triple buffer. The data is written into a double buffer pattern and read from the last fully received buffer upon the reception of the transmission trigger signal.

Parameters

Reception interface type

Determines the reception interface type.

Provide data count output

When selected, the number of data received in the preceding frame is added as an output of the block.

Inputs

RX Data

The data to be re-sampled.

RX Valid

The data is recorded in an internal buffer when the valid input is active (different from zero). This signal should be a 1-bit integer or boolean signal.

RX Start

A flag to reset the internal buffer (when this input is different from zero). This signal should be a 1-bit integer or boolean signal and is available only if the reception interface includes such signal.

RX Last

A flag to identify the last data of a frame (when this input is different from zero). This signal should be a 1-bit integer or boolean signal and is available only if the reception interface includes such signal.

TX Ready

Used to indicate that the transmission serial link is ready. This signal should be a 1-bit integer or boolean signal.

TX Start (trig)

The transmission trigger. The parallel input is buffered when this signal is non-zero and then sent serially when the link is ready. This signal should be a 1-bit integer or boolean signal.

Outputs

TX Data

The re-sampled data (serial).

TX Valid

This signal indicates that the current serial data output is valid data from a frame.

TX Last

A flag indicating the currently valid data is the last one of the frame.

TX NbData

This output is visible only if the corresponding option is selected, It is the number of data received in the preceding frame.
