Description

A register with a MAX_FANOUT attribute instructs Xilinx's synthesis tools on the fanout limits for registers and signals.

This limit can be specified either in RTL or as an input to the project. The value is an integer. To achieve the fanout, it replicates the register or the driver that drives the combinatorial signal.

Parameters

Max Fanout	The maximum fanout attribute to instruct the tools.

Inputs

D	Incoming signal for which the attribute will be applied.

Outputs

Q	Given signal.
